Beautiful In My Eyes

FLOWERS:

you are my flower you are my sweet soft petal hand in hand ...in my hand holding this precious gift the blossom of your beauty you are my beautiful flower you are my flower you are my sweet soft petal heart in heart just one heart beating to your sweet aroma the aroma of your splendor you are my beautiful flower you are my flower you are my first blossom blossoming love you are my love you are my first and true like sunset ocean blue you are my beautiful flower i am glad i picked you

FABRICS:
It is very stretchy.
We know that, even if
many details remain
sketchy. It is complexly
woven. That much too
has pretty well been
proven. We are loath
to continue our lessons
which consist of slaps
as sharp and dispersed
as bee stings from
a smashed nest
when any strand snaps—
hurts working far past
the locus of rupture,
attacking threads
far beyond anything
we would have said
connects.

FAMILY ALBUM:

I like old photographs of relatives
in black and white, their faces set like stone.
They knew this was serious business.
My favorite album is the one that's filled
with people none of us can even name.
I find the recent ones more difficult.
I wonder, now, if anyone remembers
how fiercely I refused even to stand

beside him for this picture — how I shrank
back from his hand and found the other side.

Forever now, for future family,
we will be framed like this, although no one

will wonder at the way we are arranged.
No one will ever wonder, since we'll be
forever smiling there — our mouths all teeth.

THE SAND AND SEA

The sea, the sea: calling out to you and me
Waves rush in to caress the sand
Only to roll out again
The sea, the sea: calmness in its water
But in one fowl swoop
The calm has turned sour
The sea, the sea: breezes clear as day
Salty air meets our lips
Longer, will we stay?
The sea, the sea: soft sand beneath our feet
Breeze cooling our hot hands
One look at your eyes and I Know
The sea, the sea: our ally and friend
The seascape drawing us in
In triumph, two sweethearts toge ther
Creating Minstrels in the sand.

RAIN:

Rain Rain Rain, Up above from the skies u come, As drops of joy As drops of sorrow
As a shower of blessing from the heavens. Rain Rain Rain, Pitter patter pitter patter on the window panes, thunder and lightning fill up the skies creating an orchestral symphony. Rain Rain Rain, With wind, sun and clouds, seven colors u bring together and joy in our hearts. Rain Rain Rain A miracle to a drought A curse when in glut, tiny silver crystals trickles from up above.

GUITAR:

theres blood running down my fingers
From the strings of this guitar
Tears stain it's polished wood
As I'm trying to find myself in the stars
Looking out this window
With my guitar in my hands
I cradle it close to my heart
Because it is the sole thing that understands
It never asks me why
Never wants me to explain
It simply accepts the strumming
That is the symphony of my pain
My guitar has seen the secrets
No one else will ever see
But no matter what it knows
It doesn't turn away from me
These strings cut my thumb and fingers
Bidding them to b
leed
But the blood and pain is worth it
For the few hours that I am free
Living in my music
Sheltered in the sound
It holds me in its tight embrace
And picks me up after I hit the ground
I see no greater compassion
Nothing more heart warming has come thus far
As the boundless love and dev
otion
I get from this guitar
My companion and my confidante
The angel that helps me by
The best comfort there can be
From something that can't wipe the tears from my eyes
I've felt nothing so intense

As long as I have lived
Than when my fingers intertwine with the strings
And we pour out all the love we can give
My heart may be bleeding and broken
But this guitar will find the glue
To put it back together the way it was
Before our song is through
And as I'm looking out this window
Unable to find myself in the stars
I look at the instrument in my hands
And realize that I have found myself in this guitar.

CANDLES:

Love is like a candlelight,
Glowing in the dark
The warmness kindles
From a tiny spark.

The light is soft at first,
Then, it grows bright,
For some, it grows over time,
For some, it's love at first sight.

If not taken care of,
The flame will slowly die
And when it's gone, it leaves you
Sitting there, wondering, why?

SLIPPERS:

flippeting, floppeting
down the beach
with colors of silver and purple and peach
flippeting, floppeting
t hrough the sand
making flippety footprints
wherever they land
the flippeting, floppeting never stops
when you're wearing flip-flops!

My Past; My Future; My Life

“My past is my wisdom to use today. . . my future is my wisdom yet to experience. Be in the present because that is where life resides.”..

PAST
Living in the past has one thing in its favor, its cheaper. Even God cannot change the past.

The PAST
: Our cradle, not our prison; there is danger as well as appeal in its glamour. The past is for inspiration, not imitation; for continuation, not repetition.

I have but one lamp by which my feet are guided, and that is the lamp of experience. I know no way of judging the future but by my past.

People don't have your past to hold against you.

I've come to believe that all my past failure and frustration were actually laying the foundation for the understanding that have created the new level of living I now enjoy.

FUTURE
As long as anyone believes that his ideal and purpose is outside him, that is above the clouds, in the past or in the future, he will go outside himself and seek fulfillment where it cannot be found. He will look for solutions and answers at every point exept where they can be found- in himself.

Telling the future by looking at the past assumes that conditions remain constant. This is like driving a car by looking in the rear view mirror. It is difficult to live in the future, and impossible to live in the past.

The future is not a result of choices among alternative paths offered by the present, but a place that is created- created first in the mind and will, created next in activity. The future is not some place we are going to, but one we are creating.

Attitude is the way you mentally look at the world around you. It is how you view your environment and your future. It is the focus you develop toward life itself.

LIFE

Live your life to the fullest potential and fight for your dream. Life is full of beauty that won't last.

Don't ask what the world needs. Ask what you come alive and go do it. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive.
